Denied - Request Cannot be Fulfilled because it is an Unwarranted Invasion of Privacy

Your request is being denied in its entirety to protect the personal privacy or identity of another individual (5 ILCS 140/2(c-5) and 7(1)(b) and 5 ILCS 140/7(1)(c)). The request for police reports detailing an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile constitutes an unwarranted invasion of person privacy and is therefore denied.  See McGee v. Kelly, 2017 Ill App 3d 160324.  No arrest report exists and therefore there is no responsive document pertaining to any arrest which would be public.

You can file a request for review of the redactions with the Public Access Counselor of the Illinois Attorney General either by mail at 500 South 2nd Street, Springfield, Illinois 62706, or telephone at (217) 558-0486. In addition, you have the right to seek judicial review of this denial.
